MPD™ (Multi-Purpose Dye) is a concentrated fluorescent tracer dye engineered to find air-conditioning leaks fast. Add it to the system, run the A/C, then scan with a UV light — escaping refrigerant carries the dye to the leak, where it glows bright so you can pinpoint the source without guesswork. This six-pack keeps 144 applications on the shelf for high-volume shops.
Refrigerants: R-12, R-134a, R-22, 501, 502 and most common refrigerants.

What refrigerants and oils does this dye work with?
MPD™ A/C dye is compatible with R-12, R-134a, R-22, 501, 502 and most common refrigerants, plus most mineral, PAG and ester-based lubricant systems. For dedicated R-1234yf systems, use our 1234YF-specific A/C dye.

Will the dye harm my recovery or charging machine?
No. MPD™ dye is formulated to stay safe for A/C charging and refrigerant recovery equipment, and it remains in the system indefinitely so it keeps revealing leaks over time.
Do I need a special UV light?
Any high-intensity UV black light will make the dye fluoresce. For a rugged, rechargeable option, pair it with the Fluoro-Dye Versa Light.
