It skips the injector on purpose — perfect for technicians who already own one, or who want a lower-cost way into professional UV leak detection.

What refrigerants does this kit work with?
The included MPD™ A/C dye concentrate is safe for R-12 and R-134a systems, and the kit also includes a dedicated bottle of dye for R-1234yf — covering older and current A/C systems.
Does this kit include a dye injector?
No — this is the “without injector” version, priced for technicians who already have one. You can add any Fluoro-Dye injector, or choose the MPD™ Master Kit which includes one.
Is the Versa Light UV flashlight rechargeable?
Yes. It runs on an included 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery and charges over USB-C. A built-in indicator shows green above 70% charge and red below 30%.
Can I use it for coolant and oil leaks too?
This kit is set up for A/C leak detection, but the same UV light works with Fluoro-Dye coolant and oil/fluid dyes — add them any time to cover cooling systems, engine oil, transmission and power-steering fluids.
